The Bakehouse is available for use over the winter period from November 2011 until March 2012.
The cost for a three night weekend is £190 -a week is £280 – this includes heating (which is on when you arrive) your beds made up,basic household supplies (loo roll/washing up liquid/kitchen towel etc.) and cleaning of the cottage. You will need to provide your own bath/hand towels.

General Information

The Bakehouse is a unique Grade 11 listed cottage in the heart of historic Lyme Regis. The cottage lies at the bottom of picturesque Sherborne Lane which links the town centre to Old Lyme and the sea front. There are numerous shops pubs, restaurants, and a working Mill plus art/craft galleries tucked away in the narrow old streets of Lyme just a few minutes walk away. A similar short walk will take you to Lymes beautiful unspoilt sea front, where you can laze on the beach, walk the famous Cobb or go fossil hunting along the Jurassic coastline.


The Bakehouse facilities

The property can sleep up to 6 people and has recently been refurbished in a contemporary style. It is centrally heated and equipped to create a comfortable relaxing all year round holiday retreat. Internet access is available via Wi Fi.

Ground floor
The cottage offers a spacious kitchen/diner with cobbled courtyard, a downstairs double bedroom and a cloakroom with W.C and sink.

First floor
Upstairs there is a lounge with an original Blue Lias /flint wall. French doors open onto a bridge into the garden where there is a large patio area, lawn and fruit trees.
There are two further bedrooms, and a bathroom with a basin, W.C. and a shower over the bath.

We regret that the cottage is unsuitable for children under the age of 5 (due to nature of the garden) and for the comfort of our guests it is also a non smoking and pet free zone.

Other Information:

Kitchen: is equipped with cutlery and utensils plus a dishwasher, microwave, fridge with ice box, electric hob and oven, washing machine and tea towels.
Loo rolls, washing up liquid etc. are supplied on a replace as you use basis.

Sight and Sound: Internet/Wi Fi is provided. A TV and DVD player are supplied within the lounge. A CD player/digital radio is also supplied. A collection of DVDs and CDs are available. A C.D. player is provided in the kitchen.

Gas and electricity: is included in the hire cost.

Parking: There is a drop off point next door to the cottage, permanent parking is in the next road (public car park) and we will provide a free permit for this.

Linen: Please bring bathing and beach towels.Hand towels and tea towels are provided,as well as your bed linen.

Fossils: Local guides/maps are provided alongside a fossil hammer and goggles.

Cleaning: The cottage is thoroughly cleaned after every visit.
